Prince2 methodology can appear daunting initially, and is often perceived a s being applicable to very large complicated projects, however Taradata considers Prince2 principles to be a suitable for even the smallest project.
Why?
Prince2 sets out a range of steps that should be considered for each project. Starting with the Project Brief where a high level statement of requirements and business case is established that can inform subsequent decisions throughout the project - it is easy for projects to stray into additional areas and loose sight of the primary business focus for the project. Project responsibilities are assigned - essential part of establishing effective communication and decision making.
Prince2 includes the establishment of a Risk Log and an Issues Log. These are useful devices for managing a project and ensuring that risks and issues are properly identified and dealt with.
There are many more features, and they might seem onerous, however these documents can be very small, and can take a very short time to write, but by addressing these issues the project has a much better chance of meeting it's objectives
Taradata considers good project management as the essential ingredient that ensures success in any venture.
